Madison W. Harris, CPA

Founder, Cobalt Fund Services

Madison founded Cobalt Fund Services after seeing a need for quality fund administration within the alternative investments industry.  With over 15 years of experience in the Venture Capital and Private Equity industries, he brings extensive knowledge ranging from complex international structures to single entity structures recently formed.  Understanding the value of sophisticated technology and proven leadership of teams within the industry, Madison formed a company focused on these strategic initiatives, which in return will deliver top notch service to the investment managers and the fund’s investors that Cobalt services.

Prior to founding Cobalt, Madison was a Director at Strait Capital within the Private Equity division overseeing a variety of fund clients ranging from real estate to oil and gas.  Prior to joining Strait Capital, Madison was a Principal at MUFG Investor Services (fka Capital Analytics) where he led the Real Estate Fund Administration team and was the real estate subject matter expert for the US group.  Madison began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he provided audit and assurance services for venture capital and publicly traded technology services clients.

Madison holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Accounting, both from Baylor University.  Madison is licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Madison lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Lauren, and their three young children.
